Abstract

The research was conducted to investigate antitoxic fertilizer that improve rice respon to Cu toxicity. The experiment was arranged in randomize complete block design with 2 factors. The first factor was Cu treatment, there were 0 mg/l of Cu (C0), with 300 mg/lof Cu (C1),600 mg/l of (C2), and 900 mg/l of Cu (C3). The second factor was antitoxic fertilizer, there were 0 mg/lof PR (P0), with 0.3 mg/l PR (P1), 0.6 mg/l of PR (P2), and 0.9 mg/l of PR (P3).

The result of observation showed that Cu level gave very significant effect on growth and production except on plant destruction after 12th week. Antitoxic fertilizer (PR) gave unsignificant effect on growth and production except on rice sample dry matter, harvest stems dry matter and leaves dry matter. The interaction between Cu and PR was significant on weight of 100 grain dry matter and the leaves dry matter. Copper critical value was 300 mg/l (P0). Antitoxic fertilizer of 0.6 mg/l could improve rice respon to Cu toxicity.

Key words: Copper toxicity, growth and production, remedial measures and antitoxic fertilizer
